Bring on the extensions

It turns out I can only live without Tabs Open Relative and SubmitTo(New)Tab for one day. Without Greasemonkey for two.

OH MY GOD I thought today was going to be a lazy day, but now I'm wide awake.

I have to have WebDev Toolbar, ColorZilla, Stylish, and Save as Image at all time. OMG, what do we do before Firefox Extensions?

I absolutely need WebDev toolbar if I'm going to do any playing around with webpages, but I can live without (though barely) for normal surfing. Same with Stylish.

What are ColorZilla and Save as Image? Also, I DON'T KNOW T_T Such a sucky life it used to be way before Firefox extensions came into existence. I don't even remember those dark dark days.

(It hurts me to try to trace IE CSS bugs, because of how nasty their user stylesheet system is.)

ColorZilla is like color picker in Photoshop, the difference is, you can pick colors right from the website without having the need to screencap it.

Save As Image is for instant screencaping of a whole website. It's pretty handy, but sometimes I prefer MWSnap.

IE CSS Bugs are usually caused by inappropriate coding of the HTML or IE rendering of CSS rules itself. And most of the bugs are well documented right now, so we can avoid some of those problems.

Aha thank you. I had an extension before that saved entire webpages as pdfs/pngs/gifs, but I don't remember the name and I wasn't able to find it (or anything similar) after I lost my data *g*

Grabbing both -- thank you!

Agree with your analysis of IE bugs. Unfortunately, the pages I'm looking at aren't under my control. I'm only there to help people track down what's wrong :/

Hahaha, that's what we do in [livejournal.com profile] _css and it's definitely true when it comes to LJ layouts. :D

I think my most-vital extension is Google Notebook--I switch between two laptops regularly and have a convulted organization/synchro system. Followed closely by Adblock Plus.

Ooh what is Google Notebook? I've mostly used a single laptop before, so all my files were in one place, but now that I switch between two places, that might be useful.

Never used Adblock Plus, though I keep meaning to *bumps it higher up mental list*

Google Notebook is an extension that puts a little popup notebook at the corner of the browser, and you can click the title to go to the full notebook (google.com/notebook). It's really nice because I can make notes to myself, list extensions to install, list BOOKS(!), etc. Then the next time I use the other laptop, I just click on it and go through, doing whatever I reminded myself to do.

Adblock Plus is amazing. Once you try it, you'll never go back.
