Cleaning up

Just threw four years' worth of notes mixed in with almost ten years' worth of accumulated junk. Weighed them all outside, and it came out to a bit more than 25 kilograms. Still have a lot more to sort out, but I've reduced the piles at the foot of my bed and for the first time in years, I can stretch out fully instead of having to curl up slightly to avoid accidentally kicking away stuff in my sleep.

(I am a slob, okay? :P)

(I did keep notes from a few subjects that were dear to my heart.)

From a fellow slob...

LOL, I totally feel your pain on this one, having just gone through ten years of stuff at my place. >.> Feels cathartic, though, doesn't it? The only bad part of it is if you accidentally toss out something that you actually ended up wanting/needing badly afterwards. ^^;;

Yes, it does! And yes, the pain of accidentally throwing out something you shouldn't have would be.. ergh. I ended up being a bit conservative about what I threw out -- so much so, that I'll probably have to go through the things that I didn't throw out and do another cleaning in the near future *G*

gosh, how much did you get from that four-years of notes? I got a sum of money that equals to 30 meals out of it. XDD

You can sell them? :O The thought didn't even cross my mind (the piles of paper we're recycling and they'll probably be used as scratch paper in my mom's business. I just hope they don't actually look at the reverse side >_>)

*nods* I think that that's where some of my stuff will go, though the money will likely go to the household and not to me *g*

Heh. We have like, two drawersfull of handouts from my brother and sister. I don't think we'll be running out of scratch paper in the near future, and right now, the notes are just taking up too much space.

Hee, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who weighs big stacks of paper before getting rid of them! During my junior and senior years of high school, I got about 60 pounds of mail from colleges wanting me to apply. ;-)

It seemed like a waste not to weigh how much four years of my life was worth (in kilograms) ;)
