Filipino versus English

I was talking to pauamma, and I mentioned that I tend to be more comfortable writing English, but speaking Filipino. He asked me if that was common -- I realized that I have no idea! So:

Hee, Manglish! I wonder if the way that it mixes the two is anything at all like Taglish (Tagalog English).
